About the Notes
What format are the notes?
All notes are professionally printed physical study notes. They are not provided in digital or PDF format. This is a deliberate decision to protect the quality and integrity of the material.
How are these different from other study resources?
These notes are written specifically for the CAI FAE and CAP2 examinations — structured around what the examiners test and the reasoning they reward. They provide comprehensive syllabus coverage, condensed and focused on how to apply knowledge under exam conditions, not just a textbook summary.
Are these affiliated with or endorsed by CAI?
No. ACA Notes is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI).
Can I see the notes before buying?
Yes. We provide substantial free samples for every subject — approximately 10% of the full notes, typically 30–45 pages. This is intentionally generous so you can evaluate the structure, tone, layout, and depth before purchasing. View samples →
Purchasing & Delivery
How do I receive the notes after purchase?
After completing your purchase, your notes are printed and shipped to you with tracked delivery. All orders include tracking so you can follow your delivery. Express delivery typically arrives within 2–3 business days from the date of order.

Refund Policy
What is the refund policy for study notes?
Because the notes are physical products and substantial free samples are available before purchase, general satisfaction-based refunds are not offered.
A partial refund of 30% may be available if a student can demonstrate that they purchased and used the notes, sat the main exam sitting and failed, and also sat and failed the resit/autumn sitting for the same subject.
Students who fail the first sitting but do not attempt the resit are not eligible. Supporting documentation will be required to process any refund claim.
How do I request a refund?
To request a refund, contact us via the contact page with your order details and the relevant supporting documentation. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in line with the policy above.
What is the refund policy for AI Tutor?
AI Tutor purchases are eligible for a partial refund on a time-based sliding scale:
- Within 1 month of purchase: 40% refund
- Within 2 months of purchase: 10% refund
- After 2 months: no refund available
