Refund Policy

Overview

ACA Notes offers two products: professionally printed study notes and AI Tutor (a digital product). The refund terms differ between them. Please read the relevant section carefully before purchasing.

All refund requests should be submitted by email to hello@acanotes.com. The purchase date is the date of your Stripe payment.

Printed Study Notes

General policy

Printed study notes are not eligible for a general satisfaction-based refund. Once printed and dispatched, they cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or incorrect (see below).

Conditional partial refund — exam failure

A 30% partial refund may be available where all of the following conditions are met:

  • You purchased and used the study notes for the relevant exam subject.
  • You sat and failed the main exam sitting for that subject.
  • You sat and failed the resit (autumn) sitting for the same subject.
  • You provide supporting documentation of both failures (e.g. CAI result notifications).

Important: If you fail the first sitting but do not sit the resit, you are not eligible for a refund. Both the first sitting and the resit must have been attempted and failed.

The refund applies to the purchase price of the notes only. Shipping charges are not refunded. The clock for eligibility starts from your purchase date.

Damaged or incorrect orders

If your notes arrive damaged, incomplete, or you receive the wrong product, contact us at hello@acanotes.com within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you. Please include a description and, where possible, photos of the issue.

How to request a conditional refund

Email hello@acanotes.com with the subject line "Refund request" and include:

  • Your order details (name, date of purchase)
  • The exam subject for which you are requesting a refund
  • Evidence of both the main sitting failure and the resit failure

We will respond within 5 business days. If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

AI Tutor (Digital Product)

AI Tutor is a digital product. Refunds are available on a time-limited basis:

Time since purchase Refund amount
Within 1 calendar month 40% of the purchase price
Within 2 calendar months 10% of the purchase price
After 2 calendar months No refund available

"1 month" and "2 months" mean calendar months from the purchase date. For example, if you purchased on 5 March, the 1-month window closes on 5 April and the 2-month window closes on 5 May.

Access to the custom GPT link and usage of AI Tutor does not affect your refund eligibility within the time windows above.

How to request an AI Tutor refund

Email hello@acanotes.com with the subject line "AI Tutor refund" and include your order details (name and date of purchase). We will confirm eligibility and process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
